Tis the season to be…fill in the blank

Not sure what it is but nobody seems to be in the Christmas spirit this year; including me. We have decorated inside and out and stocking are hung by the chimney with care but I am just not completely in the mindset this year. Being forty miles from our families we spend two days driving back and forth to enjoy the chaos; I mean festivities and count down the days until it is over and New Years Eve is upon us.

I am more into the programs on television and at the children’s schools. The kids sat and watched The Santa Claus this year with the family which was very exciting as it is a family tradition. Mason got a bit restless from time to time but still participated fairly well. Molly watched the entire movie.

Mason will be Santa in his school performance. He gets bored easily with sitting so they are having him wander about with gifts and he has a bell to entertain him. Should be entertainment at its finest with a four-year old in the lead role. Molly will be joining the general education kindergarten class to sing two songs. Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer is one of them she is very theatrical so hopefully I will catch some great expressions on camera. Reminds me must charge the camera and camcorder.

I am not sure if I have stopped running this holiday season yet. Matt tells me I am always in a high-speed wobble which I still say sounds like a fat joke and it is not wise to make fat jokes to a fluffy gal this time of year. I often wonder if the kids have ADA/ADHD or if they are just programmed to run, run, run as that is what Mommy does.
